Suspended Office
DIG Architects · Mumbai, India · Published — Archello
A 1,200 sq.ft office in low-lying suburban Mumbai, regularly submerged twice yearly. The flood-resilient design centred on suspension, legless workstations tethered to the ceiling via bold yellow structural steel arms that double as lighting rails.
The yellow frame is the identity of the project, structurally expressive, visually bold, and flood-proof. A loft-level catwalk provides storage above potential flood height.
